My other half look thru' the mirror at me, and what does she see?
My other half knows what has to be done, and she fights for it
But I push her down and say it's procrastination, lack of motivation

Why do I let the good things go?
Why can't I do what's meant to be
Instead of blaming it all on the TV

My other half wants to do something great, just once
My other half, makes plans and knows she's gonna win the big lottery
But her joy's snuffed out by my loveless interference

And some say dreams fade
But I say we let them die
Doubt and can't and bills to pay
Kill our child's need to play
We kill our child's dreams away

My other half is brave and true inside of me but I don't let her breathe
My other half is all the things I can't be but if she's truly me
She's looked and seen enough to know she doesn't want to be me
